Norwegian band Kvelertak blends black metal, classic rock, and punk, earning acclaim as one of the Nordic region's best live acts. Last year, they released Endling, hailed as "one of the band’s best records to date." Next year, Kvelertak will make their long-awaited return to Sweden for two concerts – on February 12 at Trädgårn in Gothenburg and February 13 at Fållan in Stockholm! Tickets go on sale October 10 at 11:00 AM via LiveNation.se.
Since their breakthrough with the self-titled debut, the band has consistently delivered critically acclaimed material. Songs like “Crack of Doom,” “Bråtebrann,” “1985,” “Mjød,” and “Blodtørst” are best described as modern metal classics.
Over the years, the Nordic giants have toured with names like Metallica, Slayer, and Ghost and have received prestigious awards, including the Spellemannprisen, Norway's equivalent of the Grammy.
In 2023, they released their fifth album, Endling, inspired by Norway's local history and folklore. "On Endling, we tell the stories of the extinct and dying men and women of Norway," explains guitarist Vidar Landa. "Old and new myths, culture, and rituals come to life – the folklore that doesn’t fit a TV series concept. Vikings and trolls are for television. This is the real deal."
Kvelertak is no stranger to Swedish audiences, and we look forward to their return for two shows next year!
