Last time, the band played two sold-out nights at Cirkus, and now Dirty Loops are back in Stockholm to give a much-anticipated concert at Fållan!
As a completely unique musical phenomenon, Dirty Loops made a powerful entrance with their unmistakable hybrid of funk, jazz fusion, and soul pop over 10 years ago when they had their big breakthrough on YouTube. The old friends Jonah, Aron, and Henrik initially did jazz fusion covers of catchy pop hits by stars like Adele, Justin Bieber, and Avicii, which garnered millions of listens and fans around the world.
Dirty Loops early on placed “musicianship” in a completely new context when it became clear that it’s possible to create incredibly complex music while making it sound simple, delightful, and irresistibly groovy. The individual performances within the band have generated almost cult-like status for each band member among fans, where it has been established time and time again that Jonah, Aron, and Henrik play in a league of their own with their music.
Quincy Jones took them under his wing early on, and they have toured with acts like Maroon 5. Their debut album Loopified was released in 2014, and six years later came the follow-up Phoenix, closely followed by the Cory Wong collaboration Turbo in 2021. Now, regarded by many as one of the world's top rhythm sections, with Henrik on bass and Aron on drums, fronted by Jonah’s magical vocals and keyboard playing, Dirty Loops' soundscape filled with new harmonies and melodies is something uniquely their own.
Aron Mellergård - Drums
